Managing Data and Workflow

PRoblem

Universal Electric Corporation had the challenge of managing the data and workflow for Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in their mass customization business model of manufacturing. The current processes to manage distribute information were digital but even so, they were manual and time intensive.

Solution

Ectobox built a solution using Microsoft SQL Server and .NET using C# to create an application that allows many users across the organization to initiate tracking changes to the documents, and to check, modify, and close out the document changes.

Results

Universal Electric Corporation declared the solution a great success. The time required to manage the document changes is much faster and more accurate, and service and product quality has increased.
